General Sir Martin Farndale

Gen Sir Martin Farndale was Master Gunner St James's Park before the present holder, Field Marshall the Lord Vincent, and was Colonel Commandant, the Army Air Corps, says Brig Ray Andrews.

He proved a popular visitor to the '91 Reunion at Taupo which he attended with our then patron, MajGen Ron Hassett. They had been Brigade Majors in Malaya in 1960-61, Sir Martin BMRA 17 Ghurkha Div and Gen Hassett BM 28 Commonwealth Bde.
