In Sep 39 there were just 3 Independant Super Heavy Batteries, 1st, 2nd & 3rd. These went to France with the BEF and were lost during the retreat.
Two batteries had 9.2 inch Rail Guns and the third, tractor drawn 12 inch Mk IV Howitzers.
