Notes

1. Embarked on P&O ship Strathaird for Middle East. Returned to port after 10 days for repairs. Regiment disembarked and employed fire watching in Glasgow. Later moved to Liverpool to aid in Civil Defence.
2. Regiment re-equipped
3. Embarked S.S. Oronsay at Avonmouth. Arrived Halifax, Nova Scotia 8 Nov and transferred to US troopship Dickman. Arrived Bombay on 27 Dec via Trinidad and Capetown.
4. The Regt was on the Empress of Asia when it was sunk near Singapore on 5 Feb 42. The survivors then fought as infantry but with one Troop of 2 pdr guns.
