Each of Frank's 160 or so logs contains a short introduction to the subject program, as well as a listing of episode titles and broadcast dates. Frank does an outstanding job of searching through several document sources and resolving potential conflicts in information, when he compiles his logs.

Frank updated ALL of his logs in May, 2004. Those updates are available either by viewing the following pages, or by downloading a zipped file of all of Frank's Logs.

Frank deserves the thanks of anybody that makes use of these great logs. He can be reached via email ([email protected]), or via the snailmail address included in each log. If you redistribute copies of his log, please do NOT delete Frank's authorship.

There are also several well-done logs by other contributors, who cared enough to help you organize your collections. Each of them deserves your thanks too. Some additional contributors (in alphabetical order) are:

Martin Grams, respected author of many books about OTR, contributes several in-depth episode guides and background information papers.

Dick Judge, a well-known open-reel OTR dealer has been searching his private database to assemble logs for you. Some of these logs are for "revival era" radio, and describe shows that were aired after the supposed death of OTR in late 1964.

Stewart Wright has contributed several broadcast logs on Old- and New-Time Radio drama series. He is an OTR researcher and writer and a former OTR newsletter editor.

If you have an old-time radio program log you would like to contribute, send an email to the old-time webmaster

TIP:
Most of these logs have the file extension, ".log". If you associate ".log" with your favorite text editor, you will be able to view the logs immediately by simply clicking on their names. To learn more about associating file types, click on your PC's START button (at the bottom of the screen), then click on the HELP logo that appears, then enter 'associate' (without the quotes) in the SEARCH box. Alternately, after you download the files, rename them to something.TXT rather than something.LOG.

Many OTR collectors have found that databases are the best way to maintain their logs. Don Fehr has contributed A series of logs in .dbf (database format) , including lots of info about various shows. This is an excellent way to add to your collection of logs. If you are unfamiliar with databases, you can check the short introduction to using a database .

For an online example of how databases can work, check our Humongous OTR Database Search Engine.

* The revision date shown reflects a change in the file date - that change is probably an update, but may be a minor editorial or housekeeping modification.
