In this view, we see two Conrail Shared Asset GP38-2s laying over at Lakehurst in August 1999.  The former CNJ Southern Main Line disappears into the grass just beyond the locomotives.    There are four tracks here.  After crossing Union Avenue, the track to the left leads to Toms River (which is screened by the grass).  The structure on the siding is used to load ACF hoppers for shipment to Florida.  The three remaining tracks (there is one just to the left of the locomotives) merge into two tracks before crossing Union Avenue and heading south.  The freight station was located at the bottom right of this picture.  The passenger station was located between the Toms River branch and the Main Line (center of photo).
