Conrail Shared Assets Southern Secondary-Page 6
CSX lettered GP40-2 4422 approaches the crossing of Route 524/547 in Farmingdale in April 2001.
Here is the train from above switching cars at Gold Lumber on the Freehold Secondary.
Later that afternoon, the train is laying over in Lakehurst.
Here is a close-up of GP40-2 4422.
The Southern Secondary has attracted quite a fan base, myself included.  This photo is taken from the Toms River Industrial Track as another railfan takes some photos.
This photo is taken from the Route 70 overpass.  This area of trackage had four tracks until fall 2000, when Conrail removed two of them.   Of the tracks that were removed, one was not used and the other was only used as a siding.

The following Friday saw an eastbound train instead of the somewhat usual westbound move.  Despite its headlight being on, GP40-2 4424 is the trailing locomotive.
CSX GP40-2 4451 passes a siding containing a few ACF hoppers near Collingswood Auction.
