Trails:

In the northern area, there is a circular yellow trail. Map of northern area at:   http://gunksclimbers.org/pictures/MUANorthMap.pdf  Blue/Yellow Trail to Mohonk Preserve Gateway Center.

In the southern area there is a figure 8 walk via the red trail. (?) Map of southern area:  http://gunksclimbers.org/pictures/MUASouthMap.pdf

9/11/04.  We walked the southern part of the area, but the trail was blue-blazed trail, not red-blazed.  We never even saw a red-blazed trail. The blue trail just took us in a relatively short circle out and back to the parking area passing by all the camping sites, which were seen quite frequently.  We crossed a stream(s) three times.  The best thing we found was the late coralroot (discovered by Sarah-David).  Attendees were Sarah-David Rosenbaum, Rosemary and Carl Cooney. Dr. Patrick L. Cooney.
