Directions:

Take exit 10 off of US 87; drive north about 10 miles on Route 9W; turn left into the park entrance near a red railroad caboose a short distance north of Willow Tree Road.

Trails:

The parking area is by the park pond.  The pond is covered with the green of watermeal and duckweed. 

It looks as though there were at one time some trails here, but now they have largely become overgrown.  There is a fancy, little rope and board bridge over a small ditch but now it leads nowhere.  So we decided to push south through the mostly spice bush to follow the remnants of a trail.  My son and I ended up behind a white house on Willow Tree Road.  We turned around and followed a stream a little ways north and then east.  It was not difficult but at times there were some wet spots as we got close to the small marsh around the stream in an opening in the canopy.  Followed the stream to a stone dam and then followed the little waterfall and stream downhill to a field.  From here we walked a little ways south to Willow Tree Road and then walked along Route 9W north back to the parking area.  Dr. Pat5rick L.
