Directions:

Route 9W north  through Kingston City to Route 32 north; right turn onto Ulster Landing Road (Route 37) a little ways before Route 199 and the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge; pass by the Ulster Town Park; Rider Park is a short ways up from Ulster Town Park; Rider Park is on the right side of the road.

Located 0.8 of a mile north of the Robert E. Post Town of Ulster Memorial Park.


History:

Charles Rider was Town Supervisor (1978-1987).


Facilities:

boat launch area ($8.00 per craft or $50 per season), several picnic tables, lawn


Trails:

This is part of the Hudson River Greenway Water Trail that extends from Battery Park in the village of Wat3erford, Saratoga County to Battery Park in Manhattan.  The trail extends 156 miles.  Water trails are recreational waterways with access places to day-use sites and overnight accommodations on rivers, lakes or oceans. 

09/02/04.  This is a small boat launch area with a few picnic tables.  There is a good view of the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge.  Did not notice any land trails.  Dr. Patrick L. Cooney.
