Chodikee Lake Fishing Access
North Chodikee Lake Road, Highland, Town of Lloyd, Ulster County, New York
Directions:
At the intersection of Route 9W and Route 299, turn left onto Route 299 heading west; drive about 1.3 miles and turn right onto North Chodikee Lake Road. Drive about 1.9 miles (be sure to bear left at the fork/T-intersection) to a right turn into the Fishing Access (the sign is on the left).
Habitats:
woods, lake, marsh, swampy areas
Trails:
09/01/04. There are no real trails here. But one can walk along the entrance road, the parking lot, the walk to the fishing access, and the walk out onto a small dock extending along a channel in the marsh to the open area of the lake. The marsh is absolutely huge, but to explore it a boat would be necessary as the fishing access itself is only a small piece of land. Dr. Patrick L. Cooney.
