Directions:

From the North:

Garden State Parkway South; get off at Exit 135. Stay to your RIGHT at the exit and follow the signs for Westfield. This will put you onto Central Avenue.  Stay on Central Avenue to the 2nd traffic light (just before an overpass) and make a LEFT onto Terminal Ave. Stay on Terminal Ave. to the 1st traffic light. Make a RIGHT onto Westfield Ave. (which becomes Rahway Ave. on the other side of the railroad tracks). Go over the railroad tracks and take the 1st LEFT onto Lamberts Mill Road. There will be soccer fields on your left and St. Helen's Church will be on you right. Continue on Lamberts Mill Road until you reach the entrance to Tamaques Park which will be on your right about 1 ¼ miles passed St. Helen's.

Facilities:

18 picnic and fireplace areas, 2 basketball courts, 8 tennis courts with lights to 10 p.m., 6 shuffleboard courts, 4 softball fields, 2 baseball fields, children's play area and pond, ice skating, recreation service building and public telephone at court site, 1 handball court, marked walking and running trails.

Beginner trail. Maze-Like. They are really hiking trails, but it allows biking. Some kids built BMX jumps around there too.

On Willow Grove road, head down to Dickson Drive. Go through park until you get to a parking lot behind shuffle board courts. The trails are in the woods. They are really hiking trails, but are ok for mountain biking.

Very flat, but nice winding trail. Has some logs in the path that you can go over or ride around. Would not recommend unless you lived in area. Can complete the full set of looping trails in 5 - 10 minutes.

01/11/2005.  Cefe and I drove into the park entrance and then turned right onto the one-way road to make the loop tour of the place.  Most of the facilities are inside of the loop road.  From the bike website I thought there would be at least some woods, but there are just small pieces here and there.  We just drove the loop road and then left.  Dr. Patrick L.
