Lake Musconetcong State Park

Directions:

US 80 to exit 27; bear right with the traffic; come to a traffic circle; get out of the circle at the exit for Route 183 (Ledgewood Avenue); turn right onto Allen Street which flows into Center Street; there is a parking area on the left by the lake shore.

This is a very small park on the eastern side of Lake Musconetcong's southern border.   It is adjacent to the Lake Musconetcong Park on the other side (western side) of the lake. 

04/16/2005.  On a beautiful day, Rosemary and Carl Cooney, Ceferino Santana, dog Sonar and I parked in the parking lot and toured the park.  After coming from the beautiful Lake Hopatcong State Park, we were quite disappointed with Lake Musconetcong State Park.  It is a very small area that seems to have been abandoned to whatever the fates have in store, including quite a bit of litter.  We walked along the shore and that was no easy task.  Had to climb over and across all kinds of obstacles.  It would be nice if they could do something to improve this little patch of park, including picking up the litter.  Dr. Patrick L.
