from the Franklin area:

Route 287 South; take exit for Route 1 south/Main Street/Bonhamtown.
Come off exit and stay on Main Street toward Bonhamton/Edison Main Street ends at Route 514 (Woodbridge Ave.) Bear right onto Woodbridge Ave. Go to 2nd Stop light (Mill Rd). Just past Middlesex College Turn Left on Mill Rd. Go through traffic light (College entrance). Next left is entrance to Thomas Edison Park.

using Route 1 North: take first Main Street exit (Bonhamtown/Edison); follow above directions from Main Street

History:

The US Army at Raritan Arsenal in Edison (bounded by Woodbridge Avenue, the Raritan River and Mill and Clearview roads and operated from 1917 until 1963) sold parts of its site to Middlesex County for Middlesex County College and Thomas Edison County Park.
