Mount Eve

The Orange County Land Trust has accepted a 50-acre conservation easement donation from Stanley Kocot, on his family farm on Mt. Eve, an early Orange Co. settlement. The parcel provides views of the farms below and is habitat for a number of mammals, birds, and vernal-pool species. The Trust had already protected another 81 acres on Mt. Eve, which was listed in the open space plans of NY State and the Town of Warwick.
