History:

The State of New Jersey;  Natural Land Trust Preserve.

Trails:

6/06/2005.  On a warm day, Ceferino Santana, dog Sonar and I took a brief walk in the preserve.  There are no trails, but the underbrush is not that heavy and so bushwhacking is not difficult.  We explored the eastern part of the park starting from the north side.  We followed parallel with the marsh around Lubber's Run.  This brought us around a couple of ridges heading north/south through the preserve.  There are quite a few really huge boulders in the preserve, some of which have plants growing on their tops.  The marsh is found on three sides of the preserve with the road on the other side.  On the southern end of the biggest ridge, we could not head around it because we ran into private houses.  So we had to make the short climb to the top of the ridge.  Heading down the other side we soon saw the road.  It was a walk short and sweet.  Should come back during the peak season for the large marsh area.  Dr. Patrick L. Cooney.
