Clyde Potts Reservoir Watershed
900 acres (650 acres in Mendham Township and 350 in Randolph), Morris County, NJ


History:

2002  --  Mendham Township, Randolph Township and the Morris County Park Commission purchased the development rights to the property, thereby saving the area from development.

60-acre purchase and 904-acre conservation easement in Clyde Potts Reservoir; averted a large development; funding from Randolph and Mendham Twps., Southeast Morris Co. MUA, MLC, and Morris Co. Open Space and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund. Trails:

Five hundred acres of the property lie in Mendham Township and will allow the Patriots’ Path to be extended from Dismal Harmony through the reservoir property into Randolph, and eventually into Black River Park in Chester.

Trails accessing other areas of the watershed property are also planned.
