Pine Swamp
Mahlon Dickerson
Directions:
TZ bridge; US 87 west; US 287 south for 13 miles to exit 52A-B for Route 23 north; drive until you get to the exit for Reservoir Road; drive south and at T-intersection turn right; turn right onto Chamberlain Road (Rt. 620) in about .2-.4 of a mile; drive and turn left onto Milton Road. 0.2 mile and turn right on Hayward Road; drive 0.2 mile and park along the left side of the road.
There is a cause way (stream broke though it relatively recently before 7/05/01). At 4-way intersection turn left and follow the trail that keeps the Pine Swamp on your left; at T-intersection turn left onto the white trail and follow this trail (passing the Yellow trail on the right) until you come to a small parking area on Milton Road. If you have an extra car you can park it here (1.7 miles in from the turn onto Milton Road from Rt. 620) where you see two blue diamonds marking the Blue Trail.
