Hudson Highlands State Park: Sunset Point
Route 9D, Dutchess County, NY

Directions:

Take Route 9D north out of Cold Spring; there is parking off  9D; the blue-blazed Notch Trail starts just south of the Dutchess Junction Park (at green mileage marker 10 21) and just north of the white house #376 at the end of the iron guard rail.  

Trails:

The Notch Trail heads northeast past Melzingah Reservoir, up to the southwestern end of the Fishkill Ridge Conservation Area, and on to the white-blazed Breakneck Ridge Trail heading north to Sunset Point.
