Black Mountain

History:
19th century -- Cyrus Butler built a trail to the summit of Black Mountain.
19th century -- if so desired, visitors could get a horse at Black Mountain Point. A toll was charged for use of the trail, $1 for hiker and $3 for horse riders. (McMartin 1988:67)
