Dennistown Bell Park/Fresh Pond

Bordered by Napeague Bay on the northeast; Fresh Pond Road on the southeast; Cross Highway on the southwest; and Alberts Landing on the northwest.

Directions:

Route 27 east to Amagansett left turn onto Abrams Road; an immediate left after crossing the railroad tracks onto Springs-Amagansett Road (named Stone Highway here); drive 1.4 miles to where the white-blazed trail crosses the road (just before the junction with Red Dirt Road).

Habitat:

Oak-beech woods with some American holly. Fresh Pond is here, connected to Napeague by a creek.

There is a plague here that reads:
"Brick Kilns: Easternmost Brick Kills mentioned in the town records as early as 1715. Possibly worked by Isaac Barnes, a brickmaker who settled in Amagansett about 1700. Barnes landing is believed to have been named after him.

From this park the path heads southeast crossing Abrams Landing Road and Cranberry Hole Road into the Napeague State Park.
