Camp Smith

Habitats:

"Camp Smith Military Reservation and adjacent areas, occupying the northwestern-most corner of Cortlandt, contain a unique assemblage of habitats and species, including five-lined skinks, worm snakes, northern slimy salamanders, black-throated green warblers, prairie warblers, and others."

The New York State Natural Heritage Program has identified a number of significant ecological communities in the vicinity.  In the future, connectivity with Putnam County habitats is possible through the Town of Philipstown
