The driver of this Burro crane yields a smile at MP 46.6(near Princeton, NJ) on track 3 on January 24, 2000. The coupler and airhose allow the self propelled unit to pull a few gondolas or flat cars for transport of materials.
At the same location as the above Burro crane, sparks fly as a worker cuts a rail. The employee making the cut is Gerry's son, Don Wolfe.
A Conrail hi-rail crane is rerailing a bay window caboose near Nassau Interlocking following the derailment of Conrail train Mail-9 in November of 1982.
Do you like your meatballs cold? Amtrak AEM-7 928 soars past Midway interlocking kicking up the powdery snow on January 26, 2000. Take cover!!!!
Coming to a station near you... An Acela trainset pauses near the Amtrak engine terminal in Philadelphia, PA. The train will hopefully enter revenue service later this year.
An Acela trainset speeds east through Metro Park, NJ in this surreal image. Each time I look at this, I think of the computer rendered image publicized when the Acela program was first revealed.
An Amtrak HHP Electric is seen during testing on the Northeast Corridor at Midway interlocking on April 17, 2000. The HHP will spell the end for the remaining E60s left in service.
A worker waves to the engineer in the cab of AEM-7 930 as it heads east through Ham interlocking on April 15, 2000. The crews were replacing Pandrol tie plates during the time of this photo.
