"A two story and attic stone store and dwelling rough cast, with a two story frame back building and a one story frame kitchen, rough cast on the north side and weatherboarded on the south side and back with fence boards. Situate on the southwest side of Germantown Avenue No. 5118 (6118) beginning 208 ft 4 3/4 in. northwest from west Walnut Lane in Germantown, 22nd ward of the City of Philadelphia.
"Dimensions of main building, 30 ft front by 27 ft. deep. Dimensions of back building and kitchen given on sketch. Cased window frames, outside panel shutters to first, blinds to second story. Hemlock joist, yellow pine flooring. Building plastered. Gas pipes introduced, a brick heater in the cellar and out-cellar doors in front with stone cheeks and sill.
"The main building at first story is divided into two rooms, store and parlor. The store has a square head doorway front with a transom in 1 light of sash and folding store doors.....an angle frame bay on the rear having a 2 light 16 and 30 window in each angle corner and a doorway in the center and folding sash doors having 6 lights of 13 & 28 sash in them, inside blinds to doors and windows.....The parlor has a pantry and entry off across the back, a 4 light 13 and 28 window front with a recessed panel under it.....Story 8 ft. 9 in.
"The second story of main building is in two rooms, entry and close stairs to attic between then and a small store room off the back of north room.....two closets in south room, one in north room. A slate mantel shelf and stucco molding cornice in each room.....The attic story is in three rooms, entry and stairway, 2-12 light 8 & 10 pediment top dormer windows front, and one back, and an 8 light 8 & 10 window in either gable end, inside blinds to all. A slate mantel shelf in the south room.....A double pitch shingle roof to front and back, wood eave cornice and brackets and tin conductor to front.....
"The back building first story is in two rooms. Front room is the dining room and has a doorway in the side and folding inside sash door.....a closet, a slate mantel shelf, a fireboard stove.....Back room is the kitchen and has a plain doorframe and panel door.....stairs to second story enclosed.....a dresser with panel doors, sink, in-counter shelf and a range. Story 9 ft.
The second story of back building is in two rooms, entry off the side of backroom which is a bathroom.....a closet and slate mantel shelf in front room, a water closet and cast iron bath tub in bathroom, hot and cold water introduced.....
"The one story kitchen has a plain back doorframe.....a dresser with drawers and panel doors, a cast iron sink and a gas oven. Story 8 ft. A flat tin roof.....A shed on the rear 4 ft wide having a fence board roof. A conservatory on the rear of main building 18 by 7 ft 6 in wide having a yellow pine floor, tin roof, wood cornice and enclosed with 8 & 12 glass."

"A two story and attic stone dwelling house rough cast, having a brick front and stone ashler pointed, with a two story brick organ annex and a three story brick back building situate on the southwest side of Germantown Avenue, No. 6118, beginning 208 ft 4 3/4 in northwest from West Walnut Lane in Germantown.....
"Dimensions given on sketch. The back building recesses in on the back, 8 feet above the first story. Cased window frames front and back, inside panel shutters to first story front and to dining room window, outside panel shutters to balance of first story back windows and outside blinds to second and third stories front and back. Sash double hung except where not hung with hinges. Hemlock joist, yellow pine flooring, interior plastered, gas pipes throughout and a hot water heater in the cellar.
"The main building at first story is divided into an entrance hall, a stair hall, a parlor and a pantry. The entrance hall has a square head side doorframe and dutch door in two parts panelled at bottom and top, a triple window front.....The stair hall has an angle frame bay back.....with a doorway in the centre and folding sash doors.....a window back over the bay in 30 lights of small bull's eye glass and a similar window on the north side over the stairs.....The stairs are newel and rail extending to second story with open string, panel below and a closet under, has heavy walnut rail, square painted newels and balusters.....a beam and two turned columns between stairhall and entrance hall and wood molding ceiling cornice in each hall.....The parlor has a triple window front the same as window in entrance hall.....a small niche, a corner fireplace with glazed tile facing and hearth and a neat painted wood mantel which extends over the niche.....The pantry.....story 9 feet in entrance hall and parlor and about 18 ft. in stair hall and all finished with white pine. The organ annex has ornamental woodwork to the front and the story about the same as stair hall.
"The second story of main building over the parlor and entrance hall is divided into two rooms and a passage around the stairs, 2-30 light 6&9 windows front and a similar window in either side.....
"The attic story is divided into three rooms and a store room and an entry.....pediment top dormer windows front and back..window in either gable end, inside blinds to all, a closet in each of the two front rooms and in the entry.....Story 7 feet under the collar beams. A double pitch shingle roof to front and back and a double pitch shingle roof to the organ annex, wood eave cornice and brackets front and back and to the organ annex and galvanized iron conductors. A pent eave across the front over first story windows extending out about 2 feet having a shingle roof and molding cornice.
"The back building at first story is divided into the dining room, butler's pantry and kitchen. The dining room has a triple window in the south side.....a pantry, close stairs to second story having wall hand rail up it.....a china closet having panel doors at the bottom and ornamental sash doors above, a corner fireplace with glazed tile facing and hearth, a painted wood mantel..... The pantry has.....window.....dresser.....and a butler's sink. The kitchen has a plain back doorframe.....closet.....a galvanized cast iron sink, a portable range with a canopy, a circulating boiler and story 9 feet.
"The back building at second story is divided into three rooms, entry and stairway off the side of front room. The stairs extends to the 3rd story and is newel and rail stairs, having heavy walnut rail, square painted newels and balusters and yellow pine steps and rises. The bathroom has an 18 light 6&6 window, panel wainscott, 4 ft. 6 in. high, a water closet, a marble washtray, an enamelled bath tub, hot and cold water. The middle room.....a closet.....painted wood mantel. The back room has.....two closets, a painted wood mantel and fireplace with glazed tile facing and hearth.....
"The backbuilding at third story is divided the same as second story. The front room being a bathroom.....same as second story bathroom. The backrooms have .....windows, a painted wood mantel and corner fireplace with tile facing and hearth in each room, one closet in front room and tow closets in backroom.....story 9 ft.....
"A balcony on the roof of the one story part of back building and extends over the porch roof and has a board floor and a neat balustrade around it. The back porches.....The side porch at the front has yellow pine floor, hand rail and balusters, ceiled with fencing, a canopy roof....."
