"A two story stone dwelling house with a two story stone dining room and a one story kitchen partly stone and partly frame attached. Situate on the NE side of Germantown Main Street being the third house above the corner of Haines street in the 22nd ward at the Borough of Germantown, Philadelphia County.
"Dimensions: main house 30 ft front by 25 ft deep. Dining room 21 ft by 18 ft at one end and 14 ft. at other end.....the first story divided into an entry and two parlours.....Stairway off from rear of right hand parlour.....open newel stairway (with) wainscoting at side, cherry railing and post, turned white pine balusters and steps under stairs into cellar...Parlour on the right of entry...fireplace with a gray marble mantel.....Parlour on the left of entry 3 windows same as other parlour, a double door paneled opening on the piazza, fireplace with marble mantle.....Ceilings of first story entry and parlours finished with cornice.....Second story a small entry at head of stairs and two rooms.....(both with) a fireplace with black marble mantle.....Garret finished and divided into two rooms.....A double pitch cedar shingle roof, oak rafters.....
"3 steps up from entry of main house into the dining room, white pine floor, 3 closets with ledges and doors and door into kitchen.....Second story one room with 3 windows one closet.....A loft over with a 4 light window and step ladder. A double pitch cedar shingle roof, tin gutters, wooden conductors.
"Kitchen a white pine floor one ledge door into yard, a 15 light window single hung inside shutters. A fire place with summer baker.....a single pitch cedar shingle roof. Cellar under front house. A pizza at the end 10 by 25 ft. heart pine floor.....ceiled cedar shingle roof.....eaves furnished with dental cornice.....two sides of the kitchen lathed and plastered outside."

Addendum:
"December 1st, 1859: Survey of a one story frame bathroom built over the kitchen. Dimensions 7 ft by 14 ft outside lathed and plastered and inside plastered and ceiled, a white pine floor, a doorway communicating with room over the dining room.....Gas pipes through main house"
