Rittenhouse. In 1714 it belonged to Paul Engle, and in 1766 it
still belonged to him...Shoemaker says that in 1809, Francis
Engle, son of Jacob Engle, owned the old house. It was purchased
in 1752 by Benjamin Engle from his father Paul Engle, cordwainer.
It is now occupied by Henry Thompson, dealer in antiques."
