Included are unpublished typewritten notes:

"6117 The old stone building that formerly stood on this site was built by 'Quaker Bob Thomas.' A portion of the building was frame, and there were high wooden steps extending across the front.

"The first occupant was Richard Sharpless, a carpet weaver. His loom was in the frame part of the building which was in the rear. The basement was rented out to Albanus Dewees and Jesse Trout, green grocers. Jacob Heilig, a watchmaker, afterwards bought the property and lived in it for many years. He was a singular old gentleman, and attracted considerable attention by reason of his peculiar personal appearance. With his long hair he reminded one of the familiar pictures of Santa Claus...The present building is owned and occupied by Henry T. Hayhurst, druggist."
