To the left in the scene is the 3 1/2-storey red brick "Drove Yard Hotel." A high wooden fence to the right leads to a "Flour & Feed" business and "Ferguson's grocery," the wooden house on the corner. There is a green watch house on the corner to the left. A one-horse delivery wagon stands at the corner and a closed passenger coach with pair is being driven by. There are several adults in the scene and two unharnessed horses. The spring leaves are on the trees. The red brick sidewalk has gray stone curbing. Large stone slabs mark the crosswalks.
