National Theatre- General View, undated

South side of Chestnut St. near Ninth - It was originally Cooke's Circus and opened August 28, 1837 - Afterwards altered into a Theatre by William E. Burton and opened August 31, 1840 - Destroyed by Fire July 5, 1854.
