This is the start of an attempt to gather together some descriptive information and links on HSP's graphics collections. Most of the descriptions of photographic collections were adopted from those prepared by the grant staff of the PACSCL Photograph Directory (1996; online at http://www.library.temple.edu/urbana/titdir.htm). Others derive from observations noted on site (+:) or notes by Patricia Kosco Cossard (PKC:). Those treated in black text have been found \richer in resources for research on Philadelphia-area places than those in brown. Our intention is to link some of these short descriptions with webpages that provide inventories, series or container lists, and scanned examples from such collections.
[At the end of this document are lists of INDIVIDUAL IMAGES OF PHILADELPHIA-AREA PLACES at HSP, from beyond these major collections. Several of them have been scanned and posted here]
