CAUTION : BEFORE THE ENGINE IS RESTARTED, CAUSE OF THE SHUTDOWN MUST BE DETERMINED AND THE FAULT CORRECTED.

 

HOT ENGINE LIGHT (RED)
(See Figure 2)

If engine water temperature becomes excessive, the alarm bell sounds and the HOT ENGINE indicating lamp (red) lights.

At the first opportunity investigate for the cause. When cooling water temperature returns to normal, the alarm bell will stop ringing, Turning the engine control switch (EC) to START will not stop the ringing of the alarm bell or turn off the HOT ENGINE light. If cooling water temperature does not return to normal in a reasonable length of time, shut down the engine.
