'Covenant with Death' is a British anti-war book of photographs published in 1934 by the Daily Mail. While the photographic content is somewhat similar to 'Krieg dem Kriege', the overall tone is distinctly nationalistic, as one is left with the final impression that the Germans were the cause and main perpetrators of all the horrors of war. There are fewer illustrations of dead and wounded and more of the carnage and destruction caused by battle. It is interesting to note however that photos of (German and Austrian) executions of villagers and 'spies' are quite abundant and are used to reinforce the idea that 'our side' would never have resorted to such bestiality.
