James Thiriar
After the war, many history volumes were published in the Allied countries, commemorating the great struggle and giving hommage to the dead. One such book, the Belgian publication 'Nos Héros Mort Pour la Patrie' was partially illustrated with drawings by James Thiriar. Here is a collection of several of these line drawings.
Unlike his war-time watercolors, these are more somber and dark and emphasize the suffering and destruction caused by the war.
