'Velhagen & Klasings Monatshefter' was a German art magazine. Some 300 pages per issue, many editions contained fine quality color reproductions of paintings, drawings or other types of illustrations. During the war years, art of a military and patriotic nature was often seen in the monthly editions.
In the following pages are a number of naval paintings by German artist C. Boessenroth depicting various scenes and views of German U-boats.
