The Loyal Allies
The following collection of illustrations is taken from a series of color prints taken from the central pages of one of Germany's leading newsmagazines, 'Illustrirte Zeitung'. These were reprinted in a slightly smaller format and sold as a portfolio of illustrations, the proceeds of which was donated to wounded soldier's charities.
The prints are from the early part of the war and of course portray German and Austro-Hungarian feats-of-arms. Several were done by Felix Schwormstaedt.
