The Great War

Finally this year the sacrifices of those from what became the Republic of Ireland in the Great War were recognized at a new monument in Messines.  Read about it here in the London Times.  The Irish Times also did a number of very good articles relating to this issue.   You can do an archive search for the articles.

Note: For obvious reasons I have had a hard time finding sites on Nationalist Ireland's role in The Great War. Hopefully, with the reconciliation at Messines this year this will change.  If you know of articles, analysis, and/or sites on all aspects of Nationalist Ireland during this time please e-mail me with them. Thank you.
