* Commander ad interim: the Brigade Commander, Colonel F.W. von Goedecke, had been wounded some time earlier by a kick from his horse, and felt unable to maintain his command. Von Sachsen Weimar received command on 15 June, the very day the his outposts at Frasnes were attacked by Lefebvre-Desnouëttes, which opened the French actions against Wellington's Army. Von Sachsen-Weimar was then 23 years of age.
** Contrary to the Regiment Nassau-Usingen (herzoglich-nassauischen 2. Infanterie-Regiment) which was "hired" by the Netherlands government, the Regiment Oranien-Nassau was incorporated into the Netherlands Army as Nº 28 in the Line and wore a Netherlands style uniform.
