Born in The Hague, 8 April 1785.
Took part in the Waterloo Campaign,
as a volunteer / fusilier with the 4th Battalion National Militia. Became a
Knight 4th Class MWO for his behaviour during this campaign with KB No.17, 11
August 1815. With Koninklijk
Besluit of 3 September 1815, Dedel was appointed Secretary of the
Chancellery of the Militaire Willemsorde, and on 3 June 1844 to
Secretary of both Orders; Dedel became himself a knight in the Orde van den
Nederlandsche Leeuw as well in 1846.
He died in The Hague on 3 October
1857.
