Franz II cedes the throne of the German Empire, and accepts the title of Emperor of Austria. Dissolving of Germany. Austrian-Würzburg joins the Confederation of the Rhine and acquires the ‘Reichsrittergüter’.

‘Gränzreceß with Italy. The Isonzo becomes the Austrian border.

Peace of Vienna. Austria cedes the whole Krain, Friaul, Trieste, part of Croatia and Kärnten, the manor Rezuns, Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Passau, the Inn quarter, part of the Hausruck region, the whole of West Galicia, the Zamosc region, the Krakau region, and to Russia a part of East Galicia, later to decide on.

The battle of Leipzig ends French rule of the continent. Austria takes possession of most of the lost territories.

Border regulation with Bayern. The secundogenitur cedes Würzburg to Bayern; Bayern returns Tirol and Vorarlberg, except Vils and Weiler.

End of the Vienna congress. Austria takes back: Krain, the Villach region of Kärnten, Friaul, Trieste, Croatia, Dalmatia with Albania and Ragusa, South-Tyrol, Venice, Mailand, Mantua, Veltlin, the Krakau and Tarnopol regions; for exchange Isenburg, Hohengeroldsegg, some parts of Fulda, and the departments of the Saar and the Donnersberg for itself; Toscana with the ‘Präsidienstaat’ for the secundogenitur; Modena, Massa and Carrara for the house of Oesterreich-Este; Parma and Piacenza for the Archduchess Maria Louise. In addition, Austria receives the right of occupation for Ferrara, Comachio and Mainz.

Second peace of Paris. Austria takes possession of Landau and the district of the department of the Lower Rhine ceded by France.

Second border treaty with Bayern. Austria cedes part of Donnersberg, Saar and Lower Rhine, as well as the parts of Fulda, Isenburg, Hohengeroldsegg; receiving in return the Hausruck region, the Bils region, and greater part of Salzburg except four regions.

Treaty about Parma. After the death of Archduchess Maria Louise, this country will fall to the infante Duchess Maria Louise of Lucca and her son. In return, Lucca will receive Toscana, ceding the Luiginiana to Modena. The Duke of Reichstadt is compensated with Bohemian territories, and Austria acquires the eternal right of occupation of Piacenza.

 

 

1835

After the death of Franz I, Ferdinand I becomes emperor. Territorial property is:
