The Gothic Revival

The Gothic Revival was characterized by strong associational values of religion and nature. It is a revival style based on English and French precedents from the late 12th-15th centuries. Gothic Revival is found in both ecclesiastical and residential architecture with a wide range of archaeological accuracy, from Richard Upjohn's urban churches to "Carpenter's Gothic" cottages.
