Delta Consulting Engineers:

 

A California based company has immediate openings for the following positions:


Geometry Control/Survey Engineer:

 Responsible for performing independent geometric survey to confirm and correct contractor’s casting and segmental construction. Background in bridge survey and construction is required. Experience in segmental bridges working on casting yards and erection sites are a plus. The candidate must have valid PLS registration in California.


Casting Yard Inspector:

Responsible for performing quality assurance and testing for segmental bridge construction. Included in the requirements are casting machines, steel placement, post tensioning and concrete placement and testing. Appropriate certifications are required. Caltrans experience is a plus.


Senior Bridge Erection Inspector:

Responsible for inspection and documentation of performance and quality assurance for field erection of segmental bridge construction. Background in segmental inspection is required. Caltrans experience is a plus.


Bridge Inspectors:

Responsible for inspection of variety of bridge structures including “I” beams, composite, cast in place box girders and pre-stressed concrete slabs. Experience in formwork, steel placement, post-tensioning, concrete and material testing. Appropriate certifications are required. Caltrans experience is required.


Project Office Engineer:

Responsible for performing office engineering duties on Caltrans projects. Duties include documentation review and management. Background in office engineering and management systems preferred. BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and California PE registration is required.


Senior Cost/Schedule Specialist:

Requirements: Four or more years' related experience in reviewing, updating, monitoring and generating CPM schedules for medium to large-scale bridge and roadway projects. Good writing and communication skills necessary. Extensive Knowledge of Primavera Project and/or SureTrak.
BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
Primary Responsibilities: Create and/or analyze baseline, monthly updates and as-built schedules, and analyze contractor delay or requests for time extensions. Provide written comments to various contractor schedules. Assist Resident Engineers at scheduling meetings & various project support.

Project Manager:


Requirements: Ten or more years' related experience in project management on bridge or roadway projects.
BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management/Sciences is required. Caltrans experience is required.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for providing oversight in bridge and roadway construction management, resident engineering, and field inspection, project controls, cost estimating and value engineering and claims assistance. Take lead role in infrastructure multiple disciplined tasked teams. Provide project oversight to ensure staff resources are properly deployed. Interact with client to sustain contractual obligations.

Resident Engineer:


Requirements: Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management/Sciences plus at least five years of related experience in bridge construction office and field engineering. Caltrans experience preferable.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the administrative aspects of construction management resulting from bridge and roadway. Responsible for schedule and cost reviews and reporting, project controls, and communication with clients, contractors and subcontractors. As required, will assist in the resolution of routine project issues, such as weather related time extensions. Will utilize established engineering, construction and scheduling principles and project standards and procedures.
