HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The cemetery was started in June 1944, and reflects the fighting that took place west of Caen, most notably the Battle for Tilly-sur-Seulles, and Operations EPSOM and JUPITER. Some of those fell in the attacks on Hill 112 are also buried here.

 

LOCATION

The cemetery is reached from Caen by taking route D9 westwards. After about 8 kilometres, the road by-passes St Manvieu village, while Cheux lies 2 kilometres to the left. You will find St Manvieu War Cemetery on the right hand side.
