(1) In the effort to produce this website,"The American Revolution Home Page," information in "text" form has been used from various sources -- particularly from The Grolier's Encyclopedia (1994), The Revolutionaries, The American Heritage History of the American Revolution, Liberty! The American Revolution, Great Stories of the American Revolution, Command Under Sail, and also including a vast array of other sources and articles. Articles obtained from Grolier's were given the authors' sources, as well as the name of the author.  However, since most of the authors have been almost impossible to locate for their permission to use their articles, few "permission given by the author" are listed by their names. Publishers have not been contacted for their permission to use articles.
