DAVIS, Lazarus - Livingston's 8th Alabama Cavalry Regiment, Co. A. 05/15/1819 - 06/09/1911 Burial at the Davis Family Cemetery, Autauga County, Alabama.

DAVIS, R. Ferdinand - Member of the Autauga Rifles, 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company G. Reenlisted in Company E of the 53rd Alabama Cavalry Regiment, elected 2nd Lt. Wounded in foot by a mini-ball at Iuka, MS. Appointed Captian of Company M, 53rd Alabama Cavalry Regiment, subsequently Company A of the 24th Alabama Cavalry Battalion. Moved to Texas in 1867. Died at home in Nacodoches Texas of paralysis on  August 18, 1907.

DAVIS, William Frederick -  Member of the Autauga Rifles, 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company G. Served 12 mos. Reenlisted as Captain of Company E, 53rd Alabama Cavalry Regiment. Captured on August 14, 1864 at Calhoun, GA. Took Oath of Allegiance at Johnson Island on July 11, 1865. Died of Cholera in 1869 aboard a steamer on its way to Texas from Brazil.

DEBARDELABEN, Arthur Markley - 8th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company B, Governor's Guards. Enlisted at Wetumpka, age 18 at rank of 4th Sergeant. Elected Jr. 2nd Lt. in 1862. Wounded & Captured at Seven Pines. Released, Wounded & Captured again at Gettysburg. Released and rejoined the Company again. Appointed 2nd Lieutenant in November 1864 by Secretary of War. Promoted January 1864 at Richmond. Historical record roll dated at Petersburg, Virginia 01/18/1865. First Cousin Once Removed to most of the other Debardelabens.

DEBARDELABEN, Arthur Alexander Warren - 15th Battalion Alabama Partisan Rangers, subsequently the 56th Alabama Infantry Regiment. Captain of Company A. Promoted to Regimental Major, then Lt. Colonel. Enlisted at age 39, dark eyes, dark hair and complexion, 5 ft 8 1/2in tall. Resigned in 1864 and formed the Robinson Springs Volunteers, Home Guard, Commanding. Member of the Robinson Springs UCV Camp 396. Died a few years after the War. He is the brother of Dick Debardelaben.

DEBARDELABEN, Daniel - Livingston's 8th Alabama Cavalry Regiment, Company A, T.L. Faulkner's Company. Son of Warren L. Debardelaben. Buried in a family cemetery at his home place near Autauga Hill, off AL Hwy 14 west of Prattville?

DEBARDELABEN, Francis Ferdinand - 15th Battalion Alabama Partisan Rangers, subsequently the 56th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company A. Enlisted June 6, 1862 at Montgomery, AL, age 40, Private. Hazel eyes, black hair, dark complexion, 5 ft 9 1/4 in. tall. Enlisted by Captain A. W. DeBardeleben. Descriptive roster of privates in Company A 56th Alabama Regiment(Company Book). Brother of Pierce H., William E., and Warren L. DeBardelaben. Served throughout the war, paroled at Forsythe, GA.

DEBARDELABEN, Henry Fairchild - Prattville Dragoons, attached to the 7th Alabama Infantry Regiment as Company I, subsequently Company H of the 3rd Alabama Cavalry Regiment. Enlisted on Sept. 1, 1861 at Pensacola, FL, age 20, Private. Later elected as Ensign & Commissary. Son of Henry DeBardelaben, adopted by Daniel Pratt. Founded the town of Bessemer, AL after the war. Buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.

DEBARDELABEN, John Arthur - 3rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company H, Lowndes Beauregards. Enlisted on April 15, 1864, Private. Transferred to Company G, Lomax Sharpshooters. Wounded at Fredericksburg, VA. Casualties in Montgomery Advertiser reported from camp near Fredericksburg 05/09/1863. Son of William Arthur DeBardelaben, and brother of Francis E. DeBardelaben.

DEBARDELABEN, Richard K. "Dick" - Prattville Dragoons, 7th Alabama Infatry Regiment, Company I, subsequently the 3rd Alabama Cavalry Regiment, Company H. Enlisted at age 29. Member of the Robinson Springs Volunteers, Home Guard in 1864. Member of the Robinson Springs UCV Camp 396. Dick returned to his home in Blackstock, Chester CO, SC after the war.  He died on 30 November 1882 (unmarried and leaving no "legitimate" descendants) at home in Blackstock. There is a family cemetery at his home in SC, but there is no marked grave for him there. He is the brother of A.W. Debardelaben.

DEES, Noah C. - Member of the Autauga Rifles, 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company G. Died on May10, 1924, buried in Sylacauga, Alabama.

DEASON, Benjamin F. - Bibb County First Class Militia, Home Guard, Beat No. 5. Enlisted at age 40, under the command of Captain O.C.C. Brown.

DEJARNETT, James T. - Autauga Minute Men, Byrd's 1st Regiment, 4th Alabama Volunteer Militia, Company B. Muster Roll March 26, 1862, Camp Shorters, AL.  Prattville Dragoons, 3rd Alabama Cavalry Regiment, Company H. Enlisted in Spring of 1863. T.A. Davis' Local Defense Company, Home Guard. Enlisted on August 17, 1865, Autauga County, age 33. Buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.

DEJARNETT, John P. - Surgeon Frst Class, General and Staff Officers, Non-Regimental Enlisted Men, CSA. 3rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company G. T.A. Davis' Local Defense Company, Home Guard. Enlisted August 17, 1864, Autauga County, age 27, Physician & Certificate 1st Class.

DENNIS, J. M. (James Madison?) -  2nd Battalion Hilliard's Legion, Company B, subsequently Company K of the 59th Alabama Infantry Regiment. Born in Autauga County on 10/11/1833. Address in 1907 at Rockford, Coosa County, AL. Burial at the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Coosa County, Alabama.

DENNIS, John Samuel - 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company H. Born in Autauga county, Alabama on 1 March (year not given), enlisted July 1861 in Coosa County, Al, residence at Traveler's Rest, Coosa County. Captured 1 July 1863 at Gettysburg and imprisoned at Fort Delaware until released on 20 May 1865. His wife's name was Mary Gamlar. Application was made in Escambia County, Florida in 1903. John and Mary Josephine Dennis are buried in the Pine Barren Cemetery near Davisville which is south of Atmore near the state line. There are no birth or death dates listed for John. Mary's death date is listed as 1937.

DERAMUS, George Meredith - 7th Alabama Cavalry Regiment, Company K. Born 1832, the son of John P. Deramus & Sarah Judy.

DERAMUS, George Wolfe - 6th Alabama Cavalry Regiment, Company A. "Hospital Register" of the General Hospital, Selma, Alabama; Hospital Register number 1889. Complaint: Chr. Dyspepsia Date admitted: 08/16/1863. Discharged from service: October 20th "30 days furlough. Recommended for discharge." Son of Jacob Daniel Deramus & Margaret Wolfe. Died at Tuscumbia, AL.

DERAMUS, Jacob H. - 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company G. No record found. Listed on Jimmy Allen's 6th Alabama Infantry Website. Son of Jacob Daniel Deramus & Margaret Wolfe.

DERAMUS, John Frank - 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company G. Severely wounded at Chancellorsville, May 2, 1863, and had his leg amputated. Shown "absent wounded" for the remainder of the war. Frank made a crutch from the forked limb of a tree and walked back to Alabama from Virginia. Son of John Deramus and Ketrena Walker.

DISMUKES, George Washington - 56th Alabama Cavalry Partisan Rangers, Co. A  01/30/1832 - 01/14/1914  Burial at the Chestnut Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Chestnut Grove, Coffee County, Alabama.

DUNKLIN, Franklin Tyler -  Governor's Guards, 4th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company A. Florida pension application; born 21 April 1840 in Autauga county, Al (also listed as 22 April 1840 in Dallas county, Al). Enlisted 9 or 11 April 1861 in Capt. Tom Goldsby's company at Dallas county. Shot through the left thigh about 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg. At Chicamauga his left index finger was shot off, the same shot penetrating his lung. Discharged 9 or 11 April 1865 at Appomattox Court House. Resided in Polk county, Fl after February 1883. Wife's maiden name was Henrie C. Reed; married in Autauga county on 13 March 1862. Died 1909 in Polk county, Fl.

DUNN, Benjamin F. - Autauga Guards, Blythe's 44th Battalion Mississippi Infantry, Company G, subsequently Company K of the 24th Alabama Infantry Regiemnt. 09/17/1832 - 04/26/1906 Burial at the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Covington County, Alabama.

DUPREE, Thomas G. - Fitzpatrick Blues, 2nd Battalion Hilliard's Legion, Co. E, subsequently Co. B of the 59th Alabama Infantry Regiment. Post Office address 1907: Natural Bridge, Alabama; born 19 Dec 1830 at Athens in Clark County, Georgia; first entered the service as Private on 15 Jun 1862 at Montgomery, Alabama in 1st Alabama Legion, Company E, 2nd Battery and continued until about 4 Apr 1865, when I was captured between Petersburg and Burkville, Virginia after which I was sent to prison at Point Lookout, Maryland, remaining until Aug 1865, when I was paroled. No papers. Died Aug. 27, 1919. Buried at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Winston County, AL.

DURDEN, G. W. - Prattville Dragoons. 3rd Alabama Cavalry Regiment, Company H. (G.W. Durden, died October 5, 1867, buried at the Knox Family Cemetery in Autauga County?)

EILAND, Absalam - Bibb Rifles, 29th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company D. Born in Autauga County. Enlisted in October 1863 at Pollard, Alabama. Paroled May 7, 1865 at Meridian, MS. Address 1907-8: Thorsby, Alabama. Census, Tax Collector, Chilton County, Alabama 1907-8.

ELLIOT, H. - 63rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, Co. K. Enlisted at Prattville, AL. Detailed October 25th by General Withers to work in a factory. Returned to unit in January 1865.

ENSLEN, Christian Frederick - Wetumpka Light Guard, 3rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company I. Served for only four months and was detailed in April of 1861 to work in the CSA Arsenal until the close of the war. Listed on the 1907 Jefferson County Confederate Census, P.O. Birmingham, AL.

FOX, George W. - Autauga Guards, Faulkner's Company, Col. Blythe's 44th Mississippi Battalion, Company G, subsequently 24th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company K. Wounded at Murphreesboro, Tennessee. Captured at Missionary Ridge and sent to Rock Island Prison where he remained until surrender. 1907 address at P.O. North Birmingham, Jefferson County, AL 1907 Confederate Veterans Census. Pension application witnessed by T. J. Lawrence and M. C. Fox. Pension record card Bibb County; Alabama pension number 34968. Burial at Fox Station, AL.
